Reasons Why I’m Thrilled With Engine 2’s New Product Line

It seems that every time I enter my local Whole Foods, I find a new Engine 2 product sitting on the shelves. The first product I discovered was Engine 2’s Sprouted Ancient Grains Tortillas.

On my next visit, I spotted Rip’s Big Bowl Original Cereal. I finished the entire box, but I have this photo of Rip’s Triple Berry Walnut flavor (also delicious!). Also note that Rip’s Big Bowl comes in a Banana Walnut flavor too!

As if those products weren’t enough, I later spotted, purchased and fell in love with Engine 2’s Triple Seed Crispreads. Engine 2 Crispbreads also come in an original flavor, but I haven’t tried them yet.

On my last and most recent visit, I was most excited to find and try Engine 2 Hummus in two flavors: Original and Roasted Red Pepper. Amazing! Engine 2 also makes a hummus in a third flavorJalapeno Cilantro, but I haven’t tried that one yet.

The Engine 2 products I already tried are delicious and I was thrilled to find out that Whole Foods sells other Engine 2 products which I have not yet sampled, including a Cantina Style Salsa and two flavors of Almond Milk: Unsweetened Original and Unsweetened Vanilla. I can’t wait to give these a try too!

Why Am I So Thrilled With Engine 2’s New Product Line?

There are so many reasons why I am thrilled with Engine 2’s new product line and here are just a few…

1. I learned so much from Rip Esselstyn’s informative book The Engine 2 Diet in which Rip talks about his remarkable results transforming the health of his fellow Engine 2 firefighters with his plant-powered eating program.

The Engine 2 Diet by Rip Esselstyn

2. Rip Esselstyn comes from a long line of shakers and movers in the field of medicine. His father is Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., cardiologist with the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic who wrote the bestselling book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. Rip’s grandfather, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Sr., was baseball star Lou Gehrig’s personal physician and founder of the Rip Van Winkle Clinic in upstate New York, where people such as Eleanor Roosevelt sought medical help. Rip’s mom is the daughter of the great physician, Dr. George (Barney) Crile, the first American surgeon to perform the breast-conserving partial mastectomy on women with breast cancer. Barney’s father, George Crile, Sr., founded the Cleveland Clinic and was considered to be one of the great surgeons of the twentieth century. He was responsible for the first human-to-human blood transfusion and was a co-founder of the American Red Cross.

3. In view of the foregoing, I believe in everything that Engine 2 promotes as far as one’s health including following a plant-strong, nutrient-dense, whole foods diet with little to no oils. I also believe that Rip’s Engine 2 products are made with high quality ingredients and align with his healthy diet plan.

4. Engine 2’s products are made with zero animal products, no added oils, whole grains, minimal added sugar, less than 25% total calories from fat per serving, and a 1:1 ratio of milligrams of sodium to calories per serving.

5. Engine 2’s products are organic!

6. I was previously making my own Rip’s Big Bowl concoction at home and now I don’t have to because I can buy Engine 2’s ready made Rip’s Big Bowl.

7. Engine 2’s Triple Seed Crispbread is an extraordinary snack because it is made with fennel seeds which provide the perfect “kick!”

8. My own “no oil” homemade hummus stinks! Engine 2’s “no oil” hummus is awesome. I just love it on wraps, sandwiches and salads!

9. Engine 2 provides a brand name I could trust! I feel comfortable purchasing an Engine 2 product without having to intricately study its ingredients.

10. The products are delicious!

11. I love Rip in the movie Forks Over Knives where he climbs up the fire pole chanting “Real men eat plants!” This scene alone is enough to sell me on Engine 2’s products.

12. Lastly, who could possibly resist Engine 2’s cute red packaging?

These are just a few of the many reasons why I am thrilled with Engine 2’s new line of products. They are really great…give them a try and see for yourself!

Great post! FOK’s and Engine Two got us started too! Rip’s Sweet Potato lasagna is out of this world!

By the way, did you mean to write, “Real men eat plants.”?

  2. Ive tried his spaghetti sauce. Its really delicious. I liked the hummus too! Love Engine 2 products!

  3. went to Whole Foods in Cedar Park, near Austin, Texas.
They did not carry Engine 2 hummus. Disappointed.

  4. I have had no luck finding the Engine 2 crisps. My biggest downfall is snacks at the office and this looks perfect, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Wish they had an on-line store where you could buy some of this stuff!!
