Today, I went to Bagel Boss on Willis Avenue in Roslyn Heights, New York and was thrilled to find out that they now serve the most delicious, healthy and vegan alternative to frozen yogurt. I am talking about the amazing soft serve fruit from “The Soft Serve Fruit Co.” which currently has two New York City locations (at Union Square and the Upper East Side), as well as on Montauk Highway in Watermill, New York. This stuff is truly amazing! The Soft Serve Fruit has three ingredients: fruit, water and a touch of cane sugar. It is dairy-free, gluten-free, fat-free, high fructose corn syrup-free, cholesterol-free, sodium-free and, therefore, guilt-free!! The Soft Serve Fruit Co. offers sundaes, smoothies, breakfast items (parfaits, granola, waffles) and an interesting variety of toppings such as pretzels, pomegranate seeds and dark chocolate. Today I tried the raspberry soft serve fruit with bananas, strawberries and dark chocolate chips. I thought I died and went to heaven!! I can’t believe my luck that I could have this delectable vegan treat so close to home!! The Soft Serve Fruit is a great find for vegans and non-vegans alike because it is delicious, healthy and low in calories!!!! Did I mention that it is low in calories? Oh, yes I did!!! I have just been advised by one of the site’s members that the waffle shown in the second photo below is vegan and amazing!!
